IІІ International Scientific and Practical Conference LAND & PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT: INNOVATIONS AND TRANSFORMATIONS, Kyyiv, Ukrayna, 23 - 24 Mayıs 2024, ss.79-80
The global urban population has doubled over the past four decades and is expected to reach 5 billion by 2050, presenting significant challenges in addressing the increasing demand for housing, infrastructure, transportation, and services. Limited financial resources have driven governments to explore innovative funding solutions, including land value capture (LVC). LVC encompasses policy tools that leverage increases in land value resulting from public investments, land-use changes, population growth, and economic development, ensuring public benefit from these gains. This study systematically analyzed 355 English-language articles on LVC published between 1980 and 2023 using the PRISMA method. Employing Vosviewer and R Studio-Biblioshiny software, the analysis highlights publication trends, influential authors, contributing countries and institutions, and emerging themes in LVC research. It uncovers the evolution of the field, key turning points, and future research directions, providing a comprehensive review of the dynamics and potential of LVC in addressing urban challenges globally.
