Özet

Nowadays technology management as the discipline for almost all firms are related in this issue to seek new talent and skill for the firm competency. Main objective of technology management is to enhance competencies for creating or improving products, processes or services in the sector. This study offers an evaluation framework to examine dimensions of technology competency based on the management and technology capabilities for the manufacturing enterprises; process management, product competitiveness, information and communication technologies (ICT), marketing strategies, innovation and entrepreneurship and research & development (R&D). In this study, multi-criteria decision making methods are used to measure performances of manufacturing enterprises from machine sub-sector in Istanbul, Turkey. Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) approach is applied to determine the weights of the criteria. The criteria weights and responses of survey analysis (data) related with enterprises are used for VIKOR and TOPSIS methods to evaluate and rank the firms.
