Özet

Gas turbines are known to have a number of fascinating features, mainly: fast starting and loading, simplicity, lightness, high flexibility and reliability, low capital cost, better environmental performance, high power density etc. For this reason, the use of gas turbines in the meeting peak loads, cogeneration systems and electricity generation is increased very rapidly in the recent years. In this study, the thermo-economic analysis of a simple Brayton cycle model is studied, and electricity production cost for open Brayton cycle is examined under different compressor pressure ratio and gas turbine inlet temperature. In the analyses, the parameters such as isentropic efficiencies, ambient temperature, load factor, fuel price, escalation rate etc. are also taken into account. Finally, developed model is solved and the optimum conditions are found for electricity production cost under different gas turbine inlet temperature.
