Özet

The widespread adoption of renewable energy sources globally has highlighted the critical need for sophisticated monitoring and control systems tailored to these infrastructures. In this regard, an Industrial IoT (IIoT)-based hybrid communication architecture has been developed, based on a comprehensive testbed utilizing real telemetry data from wind turbines across Türkiye. This architecture integrates a three-tier hybrid communication network, operationally connecting the wind turbines to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites at an altitude of 600 km, a Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellite and a terrestrial ground station in one structure. The end-to-end satellite simulation analyses have demonstrated that the integrated structure ensures operational continuity despite meteorological or atmospheric disruptions. It successfully meets the stringent 10-5 Bit Error Rate (BER) requirement, maintains robust link margins of 6.7 dB and 10.0 dB even under challenging conditions, and keeps end-to-end latency below 300 ms.
