Disasters occur quite frequently in the world and many different problems are encountered afterward. In particular, the direct effects of earthquakes are mostly seen in housing. Different designs have been developed for temporary housing after an earthquake on an international scale. However, due to the planning and production of these designs after the earthquakes, the solutions for housing requirements are delayed, and the earthquake victims face health problems related to inappropriate designs for bad weather conditions in the winter months. In addition, the difficulty of storage, transportation, and installation possibilities of the recommended units and the fact that they are not reusable increase the problems and costs. In the study, a model is proposed for post-disaster temporary housing. Within the scope of this model, user-oriented, high-quality, and environmentally friendly solutions were targeted by developing the temporary housing unit and planning the process steps of the model. Thus, the requirement for post-disaster temporary housing can be met in a short time, life can quickly return to normal conditions, and safe living spaces can be created for the earthquake-affected area. The study focuses on the design, production, and planning of the post-disaster temporary housing unit. In this context, first of all, the national and international literature on post-disaster temporary shelters was searched and examples were examined. In the next stage, the possibilities of using modular structures and cross-laminated wood (CLT) products in temporary housing units were investigated, the design parameters for the unit were determined, and then the temporary housing unit (CLT E-BOX) was designed according to the design parameters.
