Abstract

Molybdenum was used as an ohmic contact in CuInSe2 (CIS) for producing efficient polycrystalline thin solar films. CIS thin films were prepared by single source evaporation of CIS powder onto glass and molybdenum covered glass substrates. The molybdenum migration in CIS was attributed to the rapid diffusion along grain boundaries, dislocations and the simultaneous penetration into grains via the selenium vacancies.
