Recycled aggregates and Geopolymer binders are green materials that can contribute to the sustainability of the planet. This study investigated the Performance of recycled Aggregates on mechanical properties of Fly Ash and GGBS Based Geopolymer Concrete. Specimens of Geopolymer concrete were made by mixing low calcium fly ash, GGBS, sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate solution, coarse recycled aggregates, fine aggregates, natural aggregates and fibers. Recycled aggregate used was obtained locally in Istanbul Turkey. Through the mixes of geopolymer concrete the recycled aggregate was partially replaced of natural aggregate in different proportions at 10, 20, 30 and 40% respectively, also geopolymer concrete of 100% natural aggregate was used as a control specimen. compressive strength split tensile strength, and flexural strength of this geopolymers were examined at 28 and 90 days. Results of the test showed that the compressive strength of 28 and 90 days was in the range of 28.9-30.2 MPa while split tensile strength was between 1.9-2.0 MPa and the ultimate flexural strength of tested beams were in the range of 3.53 -4.54 MPa. Although the general performance of the produced samples was showing a decrement with the increasing ratio of recycle aggregates, the obtained results indicated that using recycled aggregate is up to some extent is beneficial in terms of sustainability.
