Özet
Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the association between radiation dose-volume parameters and the development of alopecia using a photogrammetric method in patients undergoing cranial radiotherapy (RT). Methods: A total of 72 patients who received RT for brain tumor were included in the analysis, of whom 18 developed grade 2–3 alopecia. Patient characteristics were listed in Table 1.. The patients with alopecia were study group whereas the patients without hair loss were the control group in this study. For each patient, the scalp hair follicle layer was contoured to a depth of 4 mm from the skin surface. Alopecia volume was quantitatively assessed in 18 patients’ hair loss volume for grade 2-3 using a photogrammetric method which enabled the precise measurement of 3D objects using 2D photographs. Scalp contour data, estimated scalp doses and volumes, and alopecia region volumes (available from this subset of patients) were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test, Chi-square test, and Spearman correlation. ROC analysis was performed to determine optimal cut-off values for dose-volume parameters.
