Özet

In order to meet the cost of entering the city center using automobile, the parking fees can be increased so that the congestion can be kept away from the city center where it is experienced at most. To support this concept, park and ride facilities are designed at the single centered city perimeters. The main objective of this study is to evaluate park and ride facilities in Istanbul, as a multi centered city, from the perspective of accessibility. The location, transfer possibilities, capacities of park and ride facilities in Istanbul were taken from ISPARK and examined. By using the obtained data, 430 questionnaires consisting of 35 questions have been applied on actively used 40 park and ride facility. The obtained data were used in two different accessibility calculation methods and the accessibility scores and rankings of the park and ride facilities in Istanbul operated by ISPARK were found.
