Best regards,
Dear Students,
As previously announced, the Second Midterm Exam for the Project Management will be held on Tuesday, December 23 at 13:00.
Please note the following important details regarding the exam:
- You are mainly responsible for the following lecture notes for the second midterm exam:
- Lecture Notes_7_ CPM & PERT_ Part 1
- Lecture Notes_8_ CPM & PERT_ Part 2
- Lecture Notes_9_ CPM & PERT_ Part 3
- Lecture Notes_10_ PERT Example
- Lecture Notes_11_ Example – AON & AOA_Earliest Time, Latest Time, and Float Calculations
- Lecture Notes_12_ Examples – AOA_Network Diagram, Earliest and Latest Times Calculation
- In other words, the second midterm exam will include CPM and PERT topics (such as:AON and AOA networks, Time calculations (earliest and latest times), Critical path determination, Float calculations, PERT analysis).
- The exam will consist of open-ended (classical) questions.
- All lecture notes are available on my Avesis page under the “Announcements & Documents” section:
https://avesis.yildiz.edu.tr/yilmazer/documents - The exam will take place in our regular classroom (A114). If the classroom capacity is insufficient, an additional classroom may be assigned.
- Mobile phones are not allowed during the exam.
- Calculators are allowed.
Dear Students,
I would like to remind you of a few important points regarding your project assignment, which I have also mentioned in class:
· For your project, you are required to present an article related to heuristic methods as a group and submit a hard copy of your presentation.
· Please form your groups of 3 members.
· It is your responsibility to communicate and coordinate with your group members.
· You may use platforms like Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, Google Scholar, etc., to select the article you plan to present.
· When selecting the article, please send me “two alternative articles” you are considering and indicate which one is your primary choice. This will help avoid multiple groups selecting the same article. I will decide which article is more suitable for your presentation. Please send your selected articles and your group membersby December 1, 2025.
· The article you choose must consist of at least 10 pages.
· Presentations should be 15 minutes long.
· Project presentations will take place during the last three weeks of the fall semester (December 22, December 29,2025 & January 5, 2026). Groups should specify their preferred week for the presentation when submitting their article choice. If the chosen week is not available, the presentation will be scheduled for the other week.
· You can track information regarding project groups, article name, and presentation dates via the link provided below.
