Prof. Dr. Aydın Balyer was born in Bayburt. He completed his elementary school education in Bayburt, began his secondary education in İzmir, and completed it in Kars. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Atatürk University, his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Yıldız Technical University, and his Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Marmara University.
Before beginning his career in higher education, he taught for six years at various schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) and began working as an instructor at Yıldız Technical University in 1997. Continuing his academic work and scientific activities, Dr. Balyer was promoted to associate professor in 2014 and to full professor in 2021..
Currently serving as a full-time professor at Yıldız Technical University, Dr. Balyer’s research focuses on the professional development of educational administrators and school principals, leadership practices, and the changing working conditions of educational administrators. In addition, Dr. Balyer is actively engaged in research on educational policies, the management of diversity in schools, and the critical analysis of educational policies.
