Prof. Mehmet Emin KAHRAMAN

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Kahraman, an art expert, consultant, and painter, graduated with honors from the Painting Department of Anadolu Fine Arts High School. He then completed his undergraduate studies at Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department, ranking fourth in his faculty. He pursued his Master’s and Doctoral degrees at the Gazi University Graduate School of Educational Sciences, Department of Graphic Arts, and during his doctoral studies, he attended courses in Educational Management and Child Development at Marmara University, gaining an interdisciplinary perspective.

Kahraman, who has a strong interest in graffiti art, explored the role of art in the rehabilitation of street children in his master’s thesis, titled “The Role and Importance of Graffiti Technique in Educational and Rehabilitation Institutions.” In his doctoral dissertation, he developed a model curriculum in Art Management, contributing to the training of qualified professionals in the field.

He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, biennials, symposiums, and conferences both nationally and internationally, and has organized several exhibitions and academic events. His works are included in the collections of Ziraat Bank, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and private collectors. He also served as the President of the Cartoonists and Humorists Association for three years.

In 2017, he founded SATPARK – Art and Design Application and Research Center, the first of its kind in Turkey, and currently serves as its director, establishing an original platform for art and design. In 2018, he published “Art-Culture Management and Business”, the first scientific book in Turkey in the field of art and cultural management. His 2013 International Art Management Symposium and subsequent book “Managing Art” are recognized as significant contributions to the development of art management in Turkey.

Kahraman has also published book series on the societal impact of art, including “Museum and Art,” “Advertising and Art,” “Democracy and Art,” and “Disaster and Art.” He has led TÜBİTAK, İSTKA, and BAP-funded scientific research projects and implemented Turkey’s first “Art and Cultural Management Training and Conscious Leadership Program” with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Specializing in art law, he has been a registered expert witness with the Ministry of Justice High Board since 2012, focusing on Intellectual Property Law, art, design, and graphology. Currently, Prof. Dr. Kahraman serves as a faculty member at the Department of Art, Faculty of Art and Design, Yıldız Technical University, continuing his academic, research, and artistic work.
