Prof. Halit ÖZEN

Biography

Halit Ozen is a Professor with the Civil Engineering Faculty at Yildiz Technical University. He studied as a Visiting Professor at Florida International University (FIU) and as a researher at the FIU-Lehman Center for Transportation Research (LCTR) between 2008 and 2013. Dr. Ozen experience has covered all aspects of ITS, large scale simulation of transportation networks, optimization of transportation systems, development/enhancement of decision support tool, production of ITS concept reports and implementation plans, developing transportation master plan, geometrical design of highway and pavement structures. Recently, his research interests include intelligent transportation system, traffic control systems, freeway operations, simulation/dynamic traffic assignment and pavement management and design. Dr. Özen has authored or co-authored many scientific publications and technical reports on different subjects such as transportation planning, demand analysis, capacity utilization.
