Prof. Hale KÖÇKEN

Prof. Dr. Hale Gonce Köçken is a faculty member in the Department of Mathematical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University. She earned her bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from the same institution. Her primary research interests include mathematical programming and multi-criteria decision-making problems. In particular, she develops fuzzy logic-based approaches for operations research problems under uncertainty.

Recently, she has focused on integrating advanced fuzzy set theories—such as intuitionistic and picture fuzzy numbers—into decision-making and optimization processes. Additionally, she has expanded her research scope to include artificial intelligence applications in healthcare, especially those based on machine learning. Through this new research direction, she aims to develop innovative solutions to complex decision problems and explore the potential contributions of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.
