Talha Göktentürk is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Turkish Education at Yıldız Technical University. He completed his master’s degree with a focus on lexicography and earned his doctorate on differential item functioning in the PISA and ABİDE reading assessments, where he applied the ecological model to investigate item bias and validity. He later conducted post-doctoral research at the University of British Columbia (UBC), examining the ecological dimensions of item-responding processes among immigrant populations. His current research interests include educational measurement, ecological perspectives on learning, gifted education, model development in Turkish education, and the application of lexicographic knowledge to language pedagogy. He is also the founding chair and academic advisor of the Language Academy student club at Yıldız Technical University, where he supports initiatives that connect linguistic heritage and academic inquiry.
